About Behice
I was born in Istanbul, Turkey and grew up in Samsun, on the Black Sea coast. Since 1982, I have resided in Austin, Texas where I have a manual therapy practice. While still in Turkey, I studied economics but switched to marine biology after coming to the US and from there made another jump into the study of massage therapy.
With over 30 years of experience, I've studied with a variety of masters including CranioSacral Therapy with John Upledger D.O., Mechanical Link with Paul Chauffour D.O., Visceral Manipulation with Jean Pierre Barral D.O., and Lymph Drainage Therapy with Bruno Chikly M.D.
While I have studied with the top masters in the field, I find that nature continues to be the best teacher.
Experience
After teaching massage therapy for ten years, I apprenticed with Bruno Chikly and for the past eleven years have taught Lymph Drainage Therapy courses in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. More recently, I assisted for classes with the Vluggen Institute of Equine Osteopathy, and presented on "Fluid Connections to the Equine Pelvic Room" at the IAEO conference in Waldfeuch, Germany. My Austin practice incorporates a variety of osteopathic modalities drawn from the fluid model and addresses pediatric to geriatric human clients as well as horses.
